Sharyn
Sharyn lives in Australia and is descnded from Edward BINGE(1773) A recent e-mail from her states:
"...it appears that our branch of the family arrived in Sydney in the second decade of this century, probably as assisted immigrants. My Maternal grandmother, Dorah Eames,b 1889,Coedana,Anglesey, Wales, arrived about 1912-13 following the death of her mother. She had several sisters who had arrived earlier, and brothers who went to South Africa and USA. It appeared that only one brother and one sister remained in Wales.Dorah married Albert Sidney Bradford,b 1881 Cambridge, in Sydney on 10th March 1915. Albert's parents parents were Albert Stephen Bradford, b 20 October 1854, Saffron Waldon,Essex, and Eliza Minnie Allison, b 24 May 1856,Newnham ,Cambridge. They were married in Saffron Waldon on 16th February 1876.Eliza was the daughter of Joseph Allison, born Histon, Cambridgeshire, and Ann Cornell,b circa 1815, Dry Drayton, Cambridgeshire. They were married 1st October 1833 in Histon. Ann was the daughter of James Cornal/Cornell and Riar BENGE,b 1802,Dry Drayton. Riar(Maria or Mary) was the daughter of Edward BYNGE and Frances STONEBRIDGE. We have no idea why Albert Bradford decided to come to Australia. I know his mother, Eliza, visited soon after Albert's death in 1927 when my mother was a baby, to help out with the children. As for my grandmother, she always said she tossed a coin to see whether she would go to the US or Australia, obviously Oz won out. After Eliza's return to England, and subsequent death in 1933 at 15, Coleherne Road, Kensington, the families lost contact so I am now trying to locate descendants of Albert's brothers whom I believe were Horace and Harold - one was married to someone recorded on Eliza's death certificate as A.M.Barford, daughter in law at 7,Coleherne Road........."
